Undertow (aka DTECHMC) is no stranger to the stage. Since releasing his debut LP “Minds Believing” in 2010, he’s gone on to release 2 more albums with live EDM outfit Kobra Kai Over his career he has been a regular on the National Touring Circuit, including appearances at large festivals such as “Stereosonic”, “Creamfields” and the “Big Day Out”.
Along the way he has shared the stage with some of the best in the business, including Skrillex, High Focus Records, Caspa, Dizee Rascal, Scratch Perverts, Dr Octagon, Lyrics Born, DJ Q-Bert, Whether over Drum N Bass riddims, or Heavy Hip Hop beats, the art of connecting metaphors and syllables over crafted instrumentals is, and always will be, Undertow’s passion.
This sophomore album is a collection of music written and recorded over the past 5 years and provides the listener a journey inside the mind of the artist. Undertow's sound is a combination of style and variety and will appeal to listeners of East Coast Boom Bap, to UK and Australian underground Hip Hop.
Featuring production from a host of worldwide producers and a great list of featured artists, "Light In The Distance" is sure to offer every listener an experience all of their own. Undertow takes the listener from dark days to sunshine with lyrical dexterity and conviction, a modern poet using the beat as his canvass.
