InnerSoul: Marcus Intalex & DRS, A-Sides & Makoto and more

After a fantastic 3 and half years at Plan-B innerSoul have moved to an incredible new venue, Lightbox, only 50 yards from Vauxhall’s tube (24 hours), train and bus stations. This state of the art venue uses over 15,000 ColourKinetics iFlex full colour LEDs to turn the walls and ceiling of the club into a complete video screen with mesmerising visuals like no other venue in London. More over Lighbox boasts an impressive Funktion-One sound system throughout and is a market leader in terms of technical specification.
innerSoul are more than happy to welcome back Marcus Intalex to headline this event. Both as an artist and a DJ, Marcus Intalex represents the forefront of soulful, musical drum & bass. Heading up the legendary Soul:r label, he has worked with artists such as Calibre and S.P.Y and and always sought to release quality music with lasting appeal. Marcus’s DJ sets have earned him a reputation as a tastemaker, not afraid to test crowds with a fresh high quality selection from across the spectrum of drum & bass.

Supporting his hosting duties will be none other than MC DRS. With a reputation now stretching well over 15 years, DRS is a truly versatile MC, host, lyricist and recording artist. Cutting his teeth and touring worldwide with the legendary Good Looking label, his soulful style on the mic and honest lyrics are unmatched. He’s been an integral part of the Soul:r camp. DRS has gained further recognition through repeatedly winning ‘Best MC ‘at the DNB Arena Awards. On top of all these achievements, he is a respected recording artist in his own right, with a massive debut LP ‘I Don't Usually Like MC's But’ to his name, and sophomore LP 'Mid Mic Crisis' released on Soul:R earlier this year.

A-sides and Makoto are 2 artists that need no introduction. Both have smashed the innerSoul dancefloor in past events but for this special event will be rolling out a 2 hour back to back set as part of their ‘Aquarian Dreams’ album tour. The album is jam packed full of goodness that reflects both their styles respectfully. You are in store for a real treat when Tokyo meets London.

LSB has been a firm favourite at innerSoul. Booked to DJ at innerSoul’s first ever event he has grown to the forefront of the scene and is now one of the most sort after producers. He has produced 2015’s anthem with ‘The View’ featuring MC DRS and Tyler Daley. LSB is no stranger behind the decks and will undoubtedly come armed with a bag full of fresh beats and classics.

innerSoul are extremely happy to announce that Phil Tangent has now been added to the team of resident DJs. With his first release on Soul:R Phil Tangent set the bar extremely high on his production and hasn’t failed to live up to it with releases on: Ram, Spearhead and Integral to name a few. Expect a real journey when he takes to the ones and twos.

innerSoul residents SirReal, IBM and S1 DJ round up this fantastic night.
